Do NOT read your notes

It is easy to think that reading your notes will help you overcome your fear of public speaking – quite the opposite.

Once you break eye contact with your audience, they will immediately disengage from you.

Your goal is to look your audience in the eyes to communicate and convince them of what you need them to know or do.

If you LEARN your opening and conclusion, you will be miles ahead of most of your competition.

If you LEARN your whole speech and can deliver it with ease and confidence – (it need not be EXACTLY as you wrote it) – you have nailed it.

Here is to YOU and nailing it.
